The Coop On the Corner

Shouldn't  the first post on a blog be something wonderful?  I mean, I don't hear any choirs singing, bells ringing or chickens crowing.  Oh wait, I do hear crowing, cheeping, henpecking, clucking, pecking, cock a doodle doos, peeping, cackling,  and squawking.  Oh, wait, that's the sounds around this house.   Well, guess that's a normal day then.
Speaking of a normal day I always like to make a list of things that need done around the house, and prioritize it putting the most important jobs first.  Of course, that always seems to change depending on everyones schedules and needs.
Sometimes things get so far down the list of priorities that we seem to never get to them.  Sometimes that's okay, they just kind of go away.  I like those kinds of things.  But for others, it's like a dripping faucet, just drips more and more, always in the back of your mind.  Sometimes that's the way it should be, if we need to get things done.  Sometimes that's just not possible, but yet it's always bugging you to get done.  Either way, I will still make that list, and I will still set my priorities and I will still try to get things done in a timely manner.  Having that list seems to put everything in a more clear perspective of importance.  It makes it easier to plan your day and trips in case you need to pick anything up.  It helps you decide whether to have a large meal or a simple meal.
And no I don't have any real chickens around my house making all those sounds.  It just that with everyone running around  like a chicken with it's head cut off  spinning their wheels it sometimes does seem like a chicken coop around here.
I used to have chickens, a hatching project for school.  It was great, and I hope someday to do it again.
I will continue to make lists, and try not to lose them, and try not to be like a hamster running on a wheel, not getting anywhere.
